Application pattern

The Controller → Service → Repository (CSR) Pattern

It focuses on separation of Concerns Large-scale enterprise systems with complex data requirements: view example.

  • Controller: only handle request and response
  • Service Layer: contain business logic
  • Repository Layer: abstract data access

Security check and standards

    composer require --dev phpstan/phpstan
    ./vendor/bin/phpstan analyse

    composer require spatie/laravel-backup
    php artisan backup:run

A. Option

-- Enable the Functions in Hostinger hPanel (Recommended) The cleanest fix is to temporarily unblock the functions so the Artisan command can run successfully.

  1. Log in to your Hostinger hPanel.
  2. Search for and open PHP Configuration.
  3. Select the PHP Options tab.
  4. Find the disable_functions field.
  5. Remove symlink and exec from the comma-separated text list.
  6. Click Save at the bottom of the page.
  7. Return to your terminal and re-run your command:
  php artisan storage:link
  • Note: You can add symlink and exec back to the disabled list afterward if you want to maintain maximum server security.

B. Option

  use Illuminate\Support\Facades\Artisan;

  Route::get('/link-my-storage', function () {
      Artisan::call('storage:link');
      return 'Storage symlink created successfully!';
  });

update the timezone

# .env
APP_TIMEZONE=Africa/Lagos

# config/app.php
'timezone' => env('APP_TIMEZONE', 'UTC'),

# sh
php artisan config:cache

To remove a file from your most recent commit and immediately give that removed file its own separate commit with a different message, you can undo the commit softly, split the files, and recommit them.

# 1. Undo the last commit but keep all your file changes staged
git reset --soft HEAD~1

# 2. Unstage the specific file you want to separate
git restore --staged <path/to/your/file>

# 3. Commit the remaining staged files with your original or a new message
git commit -m "Original commit message without the removed file"

# 4. Stage the file you just removed
git add <path/to/your/file>

# 5. Commit that specific file with its own new commit message
git commit -m "Your different commit message for the removed file"
