Integrate ID.me verification into your Strata CMS application. ID.me enables you to offer exclusive discounts and gated access to verified community groups including Military, Students, Teachers, First Responders, Government employees, and more.

Installation

You can install the package via composer:

composer require astrogoat/idme

Configuration

After installation, configure the following settings in your Strata admin panel:

Setting	Description
Client ID	Your ID.me application client ID (from developer.id.me)
Client Secret	Your ID.me application client secret (stored server-side, never exposed in frontend markup)

How it works

When enabled, this package injects the ID.me verification button widget into your frontend. The widget uses ID.me's official JavaScript SDK to render a branded verification button that initiates the OAuth 2.0 verification flow for the configured community groups.

Releasing a new version

Use the included GitHub action to create a new release. Go to https://github.com/astrogoat/idme/actions/workflows/release.yml click the "Run workflow" dropdown, select your version level bump, and click the "Run workflow" button. or run gh workflow run release.yml from your idme directory if you have the GitHub CLI installed locally.

Important: Make sure that the Miles Bot user is included in the list of users who can bypass required pull request requirement Your repo -> Settings -> Branches -> Main (edit) -> "Allow specified actors to bypass required pull requests"
