CakePHP Interact

Interactive CakePHP pages with server-rendered PHP islands.

Build live search, inline editors, and conditional fields with native CakePHP templates and explicit PHP actions. Interact updates the owning region while preserving local drafts, focus, and independent nested islands.

CakePHP continues to own queries, validation, authorization, and saving. Alpine handles browser interactions; Interact connects them to your application's PHP.

Available on Packagist as dev-main only, with an experimental API and no stable release yet. Requires PHP 8.5, CakePHP 6 development builds, and modern browsers. See the installation guide for setup and compatibility requirements. The standard Composer package includes the browser runtime; Node and npm are not required.
