README

Shopware 6 plugin: shows a promo banner in a Bootstrap modal once per browser session, on every storefront page except the checkout. Everything shop-specific (image, link, texts) is set in the admin.

Supported: Shopware 6.5 – 6.7 from one main branch. A maintenance branch (6.5.x) is only cut when a newer Shopware forces code that an older one cannot run.

Install

composer require gruenhorn/simple-popup
bin/console plugin:refresh
bin/console plugin:install --activate GHSimplePopup
bin/console theme:compile

Configure

Admin → Extensions → GH Simple Popup:

Banner image	yes	any size, max. 700 px wide / 85 % screen height
Link target	yes	popup hidden while empty
Image description (alt)	recommended	write out all text printed on the banner
Popup title	recommended	screen readers only

Release

1. If src/Resources/app/storefront/src changed: run bin/build-storefront.sh in a Shopware 6.6 shop with the plugin active, copy src/Resources/app/storefront/dist/ back into this repo and commit it. Shopware 6.5 expects a different dist path (js/g-h-simple-popup.js), so 6.5 shops still need their own bin/build-storefront.sh.
2. Update CHANGELOG.md
3. git tag vX.Y.Z && git push --tags
4. Packagist picks up the tag via webhook; shops run composer update gruenhorn/simple-popup
