Tables Field for Sprout Forms
Adds a table field to Sprout Forms with the column headings and row count you choose
Drag Table into a form, name the columns, and submissions come back as rows.
Install
composer require mblode/sprout-forms-tables
Run that in your Craft project root, then install Tables Field for Sprout Forms from Settings, Plugins in the control panel. Sprout Forms itself has to be installed already.
Quickstart
Open a form under Sprout Forms and drag Table from Custom Fields in the field sidebar. It takes two settings:
- Table cols: one row per column, with the heading a visitor sees and the handle the value is submitted under.
- Number of rows: how many empty rows the field renders.
Notification emails
The field stores its value as JSON, so the default notification email prints that string raw. To get a formatted table instead:
- Copy
email.htmlinto your templates, for exampletemplates/_emails/email.html. - Point the notification at it under the notification's general settings, using
_emailsfor the example above. - Turn on JSON Decode Table Values in the plugin settings.
Preview the result with the eye icon on the Sprout Forms Notifications page.
Requirements
- Craft CMS 3.
composer.jsonrequirescraftcms/cms ^3.0.0-RC1, and the plugin has never been updated for Craft 4 or later. - Barrel Strength's Sprout Forms for Craft 3. It is not declared as a Composer dependency, so install it yourself first.
Notes
- Craft 3 is two majors behind current Craft, and Sprout Forms itself has no Craft 4 release under the same Composer package. This is for keeping an existing Craft 3 site working, not for building on.
- Last released in November 2020, and unmaintained since.
