The native PHP firewall may not run properly on recent versions of frameworks and libraries such as Laravel. The entire PHP firewall project will be rewritten starting mid June 2020.

Up until this point, our WordPress security plugin has been our main focus but this focus will soon be shifting to the native PHP firewall.

Our goals for the rewrite:

  • Extensibility (write proper library and framework extensions and keeping them updated)
  • More functionality (such as country blocking and the ability to block lists of IP addresses)
  • Make it easier to install
  • Use the latest PHP 7 features and techniques

We apologize for the inconvenience this might cause to some of you, but we can guarantee that the rewrite will make things easier and better for all of us.
