Composer package containing core functionality that is used across Built North WordPress sites. This package is meant to dropped in to either a theme or plugin.

Requirements

  • PHP >= 8.1
  • WordPress >= 6.4

Installation

This library is meant to be dropped into a theme or plugin via composer.

  1. In your WordPress project directory, run: composer require builtnorth/wp-baseline.
  2. In your main plugin file or theme's functions.php, add:

if (class_exists('BuiltNorth\Baseline\Init')) {
    Baseline\Init::instance();
}

Features

  • Cleanup of unnecessary WordPress functionality.
  • Enhanced security measures.
  • Option to disable comments (see below).
  • SVG upload support with sanitization.

Disable Comments

Comments remain enabled by default. If you would like to disable them, set this feature to return true:

add_filter('built_baseline_disable_comments', '__return_true');

SVG Support

Adds support for SVG uploads. SVGs are automatically sanitized upon upload using the enshrined/svg-sanitize library for security to remove potentially malicious content.
